ABNA24 - Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has said messages requesting talks were delivered through friendly countries and answered in line with Iran’s principled positions.
Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday that Iran has not held any negotiations with the United States.
Baghaei said that during recent days, messages had been received through several friendly countries indicating an American request for negotiations aimed at ending the war.
He added that those messages were answered appropriately and in line with Iran’s principled positions.
According to Baghaei, the responses included warnings about the serious consequences of any attack on Iran’s vital infrastructure and stressed that any action against Iranian energy facilities would face a decisive, immediate and effective response from Iran’s armed forces.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman also rejected any negotiation or dialogue with the United States during the past 24 days of the imposed war, and said Iran’s position regarding the Strait of Hormuz and the conditions for ending the conflict has not changed.
